Terms & Privacy

Digit Conference is organised by MTÜ sTARTUpDay, a non-profit organisation founded by Tartu startup community organisations. This document sets out the terms and conditions between MTÜ sTARTUpDay and Digit Conference ticket owners and attendees of both virtual and physical events.

By purchasing a ticket to Digit Conference, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.

If you are purchasing a ticket on behalf of another individual, the responsibility is placed on the person purchasing to ensure the person attending the event is aware of these terms and accepts them.

MTÜ sTARTUpDay reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any amended terms and conditions will be posted to digit.dev website. This version of terms and conditions for MTÜ sTARTUpDay is applicable from April 29, 2020.

Events

Access to Digit Conference is with a personal ticket purchased from the official ticketing system. Please keep in mind that the ticket contains information about which events are included within the ticket. Some side events might require a separate ticket.

Prices

All prices indicated on digit.dev website are in euros and include Estonian VAT 20%.

Event organisers may ask for a valid ID to verify the ownership of the presented ticket. This may occur at the name badge pick-up and must be shown on request to gain admission to the event venue. If no such verification is provided, the purchased ticket is invalid, and the person will not be granted access to the event.

Any and all other costs associated with your attendance (including travel and accommodation expenses) shall be borne solely by the attendee and MTÜ sTARTUpDay shall have no liability for such costs.

Refund and cancellation policy

All tickets are non-refundable.

It is possible to allocate the ticket to a third party by assigning it if the ticket has been fully paid. Ticket holder name, company or any other information can be changed by each ticket holder by logging in the ticketing platform via link provided on the email with the initial ticket or by contacting info@digit.dev. Each ticket holder will receive a confirmation email.

MTÜ sTARTUpDay will not be liable for granting any visas that are required to attend Digit Conference. In case the attendee's visa is not granted, tickets will not be refunded for any event.

Terms of payment

Digit Conference uses an e-ticketing platform provided by Fienta Ticketing OÜ. Terms of service are found at Fienta ticketing website. (as of May 20, 2018, on www.fienta.com/terms)

The following methods of payment are available:

  • Online Estonian bank links of Swedbank, SEB, LHV, Luminor (ex-Nordea), Danske, Coop. And Pocopay payment link.

  • Online Finnish bank links of Aktia, Alandsbanken, Danske, Handelsbanken, Luminor (ex-Nordea), Omasp, Pohjola, POP Pankki, Säästöpankki, S-Pankki.

  • Online Latvian bank links of SEB, Luminor (ex-Nordea), Citadele.

  • Online Lithuanian bank links of Swedbank, SEB, Luminor (ex-Nordea).

  • Credit card payments with VISA, Mastercard, Maestro.

  • Invoice payments operated by Fienta Ticketing OÜ.

Verification of payment may be requested for the purpose of resolving possible disputes about the purchase.

Entering the event

After purchasing a ticket for Digit Conference you will receive an automatically generated registration confirmation and after a successful payment the tickets. If you do not receive a confirmation, be sure to check your junk e-mail box in case it was caught by email filtering. In case you have not received the confirmation, please contact us via email info@digit.dev. The confirmation including a unique barcode is used for acclaiming your wristband that will grant access to the conference. Wristbands must be worn at all times in event areas.

The pick-up locations and opening hours will be communicated on the digit.dev website and by email at least 2 weeks prior to the event. When picking up the wristband, the customer must present the email ticket with the unique barcode with a valid ID.

Event cancellation, postponement and substitution policy

While speakers and topics are confirmed at least one month before Digit Conference, circumstances beyond the control of the organisers may necessitate substitutions, alterations and cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. As such, MTÜ sTARTUpDay reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on digit.dev webpage as soon as possible.

If the event is being cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (force majeure), ticket buyers will be refunded the total price of the purchased ticket(s). MTÜ sTARTUpDay does not hold itself liable for any other expenses incurred.

In case of rescheduling Digit Conference, tickets may be returned by a deadline to be determined by MTÜ sTARTUpDay.

Liability

MTÜ sTARTUpDay will not be liable for any loss, injury or damage to any person or property howsoever caused. MTÜ sTARTUpDay will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen. Each participant must make provision for his or her own insurance.

MTÜ sTARTUpDay reserves the right to refuse admission to any event or conference for any behaviour, which it deems unacceptable, or for breach of the terms and conditions and the code of conduct.

Privacy Policy

MTÜ sTARTUpDay has the right to collect, process and use attendees' data (name, e-mail, phone, country, company name and profile) for the purposes of processing the purchase of the tickets.

Attendee’s emails are used to provide information about the following and future Digit conferences & its siding events and offers relating in content. You can opt-out from the newsletter subscription at any time but might be left out of important information about the event.

MTÜ sTARTUpDay is committed to protecting the privacy of its attendees. We do not rent or sell your contact information or other personal information to any third parties. Names of attendees may be used as proof of the event to public sector organisations with a proper cause. Data collected is retained for up to 7 years.

Photography, recording, streaming and other media

Attendees may not broadcast audio or video of sessions at Digit Conference. Mobile devices and cameras are allowed at the event. It is allowed to take photos and record for purposes of company or annual reports, company media pieces, marketing materials, etc. Attendees are responsible for compliance with all applicable intellectual property, privacy and publicity laws, rules and regulations.

MTÜ sTARTUpDay has the right to film, photograph and capture attendee likeness with any media at Digit Conference without any further approval or any payment to the attendee.

All the content at Digit website (www.digit.dev) belongs to MTÜ sTARTUpDay. Using, copying or spreading the content in any way is not allowed without written permission issued by Digit except for personal, non-commercial use.

MTÜ sTARTUpDay gives permission for one-time reference on published blog posts under the following conditions:

Four (4) sentences can be used to refer to the blog post that has appeared on the digit.dev page.

Refereed sentences must contain a reference to the digit.dev page and a link to the web address of the article to be referenced. If the blog post referred to is not available on the web, the link must be directed to https://www.digit.dev. At the end of the repertoire, there must be another reference to the original article written as "Read more from Digit Conference blog" along with the web address of the referenced article.
